WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Jan. 19) – The Waynesburg University wrestling team announced a recent addition to its schedule as it will send several of its younger members to the Messiah Open on Saturday. The event is scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m.
The Yellow Jackets were present at last year's event and were led by current sophomore
Sam Lombardo, who won the 157-pound championship. It's unknown if Lombardo will make a return trip as most of the team's starters are not expected to make the trip. The sophomore from Canonsburg, Pa. has spent all season as the team's starting 165-pounder.
