Men's track and field team concludes 2010-11 regular season

Yellow Jackets compete at Allegheny's Gator Invitational

 
MEADVILLE, Pa. (May 14) – The Waynesburg University men's track team took part in its final regular season competition of the 2010-11 season on Friday, when it traveled to Allegheny College to take part in the Gator Invitational.
 
The Yellow Jackets were led on the track by their 4x400 relay team, which was comprised of senior Trale Merz, freshman Justin Angotti, freshman David Cobb and senior Jordan Wrask. The quartet placed second with a time of 4:24.21.
 
Sophomore Kurt Bonnet was the team's top performer in the field events. The second-year standout placed fourth in the 19-man discus throw with a top heave of 46.06 meters (151' 1”).
 
There was no team scoring at the Gator Invitational.
 
With the regular season schedule completed, several members of the Yellow Jacket men's team are currently gearing up for this year's Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships, which will be hosted by Moravian College on May 19 and 20. A release listing all of the Jackets making the trip will be posted soon.
