NEW CASTLE, Pa. (April 4) – Freshman Madison Presto was Waynesburg University's lone representative at Monday's Mary Cleland Eckles Invite, which was hosted by Westminster College.
The first-year competitor did a fine job of representing the Yellow Jacket golfers by carding an 18-hole total of 93 (43-50), which tied her for fifth place in the 36-woman field. Presto placed third amongst Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) competitors, finishing only behind the Grove City duo of medalist Lindsay Crawford (90) and Jessica Johansen (91).
Grove City took home the team title with a four-woman score of 370. Clarion placed second with a 387, while Malone rounded out the top three with a 398. For a complete look at all the results, click here.
The Waynesburg women's golf team returns to action on Monday, April 11, when they compete in the Washington & Jefferson Spring Invitational.
