Katie Rihn led the Waynesburg University women's golf team at Friday's Saint Vincent College Lady Bearcat Invitational at Glengarry Links.
Rihn led a trio of Yellow Jackets competing as individuals with an 18-hole score of 97 on the Par-70 course, including a 45 on the front nine. She was followed closely by freshman teammate
Madison Presto, who fired a 98.
West Virginia Wesleyan's Katie Alvaro won a one-hole playoff with a par to edge out Fairmont State's Nicole Smith, Seton Hill's Chelsea Sipes and Carnegie Mellon's Sarah Mann for individual medalist honors. All four women carded 18-hole scores of 86 on the day. Sipes also led Seton Hill to the team championship. The Griffins totaled a four-woman score of 350 to edge West Virginia Wesleyan (354).
The Jacket women conclude the 2011 season at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Spring Championships on April 26 and 27.
