CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (Nov. 12) – The Waynesburg University men's cross country team wrapped up the 2011 season on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships. The event was hosted by DeSales University.
The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore
Jonathan Blatt, who crossed the finish line in a team-best time of 29:21, good for 188
th place in the 316-man field. He was followed by freshmen
John Allison, who posted a 211
th-place time of 29:47, and
Brandon Dugan who followed directly behind his classmate in 212
th place (29:47).
Top individual honors went to Allegheny junior Bobby Over, who broke the tape in 25:25. He was followed in a photo finish by Haverford senior Eric Arnold (25:25) and Susquehanna senior Ian Quinlan, who placed third with a time of 25:29.
Waynesburg finished in 36
th place out of the 47 squads at the meet. Haverford took the team title after recording four top-15 performances. Dickinson took the silver, while Allegheny went home with the bronze.
