WAYNESBURG, Pa. (March 17) – A pair of Jacket performers on the diamond were recently honored as the latest Waynesburg University Athletes of the Week.
Sophomore baseball player Corey Goeggelman and freshman softball player Annastasia Hartnett are the latest honorees after returning from their respective spring break trips to Florida.
In five games at the RussMatt Central Florida Inviational, Goeggelman went a team-high .500 at the plate. He went 10-20 at the plate with two doubles, six RBI, seven runs scored and three stolen bases in three tries.
Hartnett came up with a two-run base hit against Adrian College during the Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Fla.
