Semple honored by NWCA for academic success
Junior national qualifier lauded for work in the classroom
WAYNESBURG, Pa. (March 11) – Junior wrestler Corbin Semple was one of a select group of Division III grapplers who were honored for their success on the mats and in the classroom.
The 184-pound Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) and NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Champion was named a National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-American after a great year athletically and academically.
Not only did Semple go 27-7 this season, he also sports a 3.80 GPA as an information technology major. Over his two years with the Jackets, Semple is 59-12 overall and a two-time national qualifier.
