WAYNESBURG, PA (Feb.16) – The Jackets took part in a pre-season photo shoot courtesy of photographer Tim Jackson along with McMillen Photography in late January.  The shoot was an opportunity for the men’s volleyball program to showcase and celebrate the return of the all black uniform.

“I was still playing the last time we were wearing all black so that gives you a pretty good idea how long it has been.” Explained Head Coach James Patterson.  “It’s a bold look and very unique but more importantly it is an expression of our interest in tradition and commitment to our future.”  A nostalgic evening of photos for Coach Patterson was only the beginning with each player receiving headshots for press releases as well as profile shots for media releases, programs, and brochures.  A collection of team photos will be available as well.

The Jackets have indeed come a long way since the program’s inception in the fall of 2003.  After two seasons of independent play and tournament appearances the Jackets officially joined the Penn-Ohio Volleyball League’s Southern Division as a Club Collegiate DII school in 2006.

“I’m very excited to make these available to our fan base.  I know there are a lot of families and friends who will enjoy having access to these photos and I want to thank Tim Jackson and his friends at McMillen Photography for such amazing photos.”  Commented Coach Patterson.  The photos will become available under the picture gallery as soon as full releases are available from Tim Jackson as well as McMillen Photography.
