Gridiron trio invited to work out in front of pro scouts
Bussard, August and Cree invited to EAST PROPS combine
VOORHEES, N.J. (Feb. 1) – A trio of Waynesburg senior football players have been given a chance to showcase their skills in front of agents and scouts from various professional football leagues, including the National Football League.
Offensive lineman Jared Bussard, defensive back Dylan August and return specialist/defensive back Scott Cree have all been invited to attend the EAST PREPS Pro Football Combine, which will be held on Feb. 26 in Cherry Hill, N.J. The event selects only the best college players from all divisions to attend and invites several NFL agents and scouts to attend and view the players.
East Preps is sponsored by Hitz Sports who will select up to 25 players to manage and represent to place in the NFL, AFL, UFL, CFL and CDFL. Players who attend will receive an East Preps combine DVD of their performance as well as a combine profile on the eastpreps.com website that will be sent to over 200 pro contacts.
All three Jackets were named first-team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) selections after this past fall season. Cree and Bussard were also honored as members of 2009 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Southwest Football All-Stars.
