WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Nov. 19) – The Waynesburg University Department of Athletics recently welcomed two new additions to its family.
Head man's basketball coach Mark Christner and head volleyball coach/Associate Director of Athletics Stephanie Benkowski each welcomed new members to their respective families this past week.
Christner, who is getting ready to tip off his first season with the Yellow Jackets, and his wife Sara, introduced the world to their third child, a daughter, just after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Nora Susan Christner was born healthy and weighed in at seven pounds, nine ounces. Everyone in the family is doing very well, including big brother Leo and big sister Elin.
Just less than two days later, Benkowski and her husband Jason welcomed their second child, a daughter, just before 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 19. Nadia Marie Benkowski was born healthy and weighed in at seven pounds, 14 ounces. Everyone in the family is doing exceptionally well, including big sister Katarynia.
The entire Waynesburg athletic family sends congratulations and well wishes to the growing families.
