WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 12) – The annual Waynesburg Invitational was held at the Greene County Airport under cool, dreary conditions on Saturday morning, perfect for cross country runners.

 

On the men's side, the Yellow Jackets placed sixth out of the seven teams competing.

 

Junior Adam Swingle led the team with a 28th-place finish after crossing the finish line in 29:39.4. Freshman Kyle Edwards was Waynesburg's next finisher after finishing in 30:13.7. Rounding out the top three for the Jackets was freshman Matt Crawford, who crossed in 30:33.8.

 

Carnegie Mellon easily won the men's team title with a perfect score of 15. J.P. Allera, Matt Jacob, Dario Donatelli, Nate Bussiere and Chris Rizzo swept the top five spots for the Tartans.
