WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Dec. 10) – Junior wrestlers Nick Garber and Corbin Semple were both listed among the best in Division III in the latest national rankings released by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).

Garber moved up one spot from the previous rankings and is listed in fourth place at 141 pounds. He currently leads the team with an 11-2 record, sports a perfect 4-0 record in dual matches, has picked up six wins by fall and three more wins by major decision. He hasn’t lost a match this year to a Division III opponent.

After taking a little time to get used to his new weight of 184 pounds, Semple, a national qualifier at 197 pounds last year, is back among the nation’s best after receiving the number-eight spot.

The Waynesburg native earned the ranking after winning the 184-pound title at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Invitational this past Saturday. He beat two nationally-ranked opponents, including John Carroll’s Ben Adams, who is ninth in the latest rankings, on his way to the title.
