WEXFORD, Pa. (Nov. 23) – For the second time in three weeks, the Waynesburg University wrestling team boasts the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Wrestler of the Week.
Freshman Alex Crown earned the award for the first time in his brief collegiate career after going a perfect 3-0 at this past Saturday’s home quad match.
The Carlisle native won his first match of the day by 18-1 technical fall over Andrew Clark of Messiah. He followed that up with a 4-2 win over Baldwin-Wallace’s Jeremy Dombrady, and closed the day with an 8-0 major decision triumph over York’s Aaron Repman.
Crown is now 7-1 on the year, including a 3-0 record in dual matches, and has won a team-high four matches by technical fall.
