Women's cross country competes at regional race
Yellow Jackets place 36th out of 44 teams

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Nov. 14) – The Waynesburg University women’s cross country finished in 36th place out of 44 teams running at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships.

 

The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Michelle Naymick, who place a team-best 167th place out of the 289 runners at the meet with a time of 25:33.3. Freshman Megan Donovan was the next highest finisher for Waynesburg, as she placed 203rd with a time of 26:30.4

 

The top three for Waynesburg was completed by senior Janet Carson, who crossed the finish line in 26:50.7, good for 216th place.

 

Top individual honors went to Lebanon Valley’s Jenn Cronin, who finished the race in 21:39.2.

 

Johns Hopkins claimed the team title after boasting three of the top 23 spots at the event. Dickinson placed second and Haverford placed third.
