BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Nov. 14) – The Waynesburg University men's cross country team finished in 37th place out of 45 teams at Saturday's NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships.
Sophomore Kam Schaefer was the top finisher for the Yellow Jackets after he crossed the finish line in 28:47.4, good for 185th place. Junior Bill Moder was the next Waynesburg runner to cross the finish line, as he placed 199th with a time of 29:09.4.
The Jackets' top three was rounded out by fellow junior Adam Swingle, who posted a 201st-place time of 29:11.1.
The top overall individual in the field of 314 runners was Allegheny's Chris Marker, who finished the race with a time of 24:54.3. He finished just second ahead of teammate Jeramie Parker, who crossed in 25:00.3
Allegheny also took the team title after claiming five of the top 25 individual spots. Carnegie Mellon took second and Haverford placed third.
